Bellingham Trip - The Mighty O

The Mighty O! The best dang vegan donuts in the whole entire world! They are in Seattle. We added extra time to our trip to the airport so that we could stop and get a donut! I bought a tshirt this time too!

Bellingham Trip - the Graduation

It rained. In Bellingham. Imagine that.

The graduation was terrific though. Yes, I cried. She's my only daughter, after all. I'm VERY proud of her. She graduated Magna Cum Laude. That was a nice surprise. I didn't know that until we got there. I mean, I knew she was dang smart and absolutely the best student they have ever had. I was still very pleasantly surprised when I heard about the Magna Cum Laude.

The frosting on the cake was the email she got the day before graduation. Google emailed and asked to see her resume. Oh. My. Gawd. You should have seen her face turn pale when she read it.

After the ceremony, we had a little surprise party for her. We had decorated after she left us to go to the ceremony. Not a lot, but we had balloons, festive plates and cups, confetti, banners, streamers, food, wine, and presents.

Bellingham Trip

Me eating a Piroshky at Pike Place Market. What's a trip to Washington if you don't visit Pike Place Market in Seattle? A very unlucky trip indeed. Pike Place is a "must do" for anyone going that way. The food is unbelievably good. The shopping is exhausting, but fulfilling. And the people are friendly, and sometimes entertaining.

This was my mother's first trip there. My daughter and I treated her to the Pike Place experience. She enjoyed it so much that she is now sorry that she didn't visit sooner. Unfortunately, my daughter will be moving to Vancouver in a few days and this won't be as convenient as it is now.
