Re-Entering the USA

Peace Arch

The next day, Sunday, after spending the morning with Sarah at the Vancouver Aquarium, we headed back to the USA and to Seattle. Entering Canada was jiffy fast - no wait at all. But getting back into the USA put us into a crawling traffic jam that lasted nearly 45 minutes. Families set their children loose in the grassy area alongside the road. They got to run and play and later catch up with their ride for the passage over the border. Others were reading books, listening to music. I took some pictures. This one is the Peace Arch on the Canadian side.

The visit in Canada was short. It was very short. But we had a good time. I got to see the city in the daylight this time. The weather was beautiful and sunny. I saw probably every bridge in the city - quite a feat for a gephyrophobiac. And we visited the Aquarium, where we saw some beautiful beluga whales, cu-u-ute otters, and some playful seals.
