Then I went to the southern end of the island, to Battery Park. Battery Park from the excavated dirt when the World Trade Center. It extended the island several blocks and for a couple miles. Placed there now is this globe that used to set at the base of the towers and you can see massive damage from the collapse of the towers on 9/11.
